All the small acts by millions of people really do add up, and you have to keep that in mind as you do your little part.
All anyone can ask you to do is something small, as asking people to change their entire lifestyle, ride only their bikes, grow all their own food, install solar panels on everything, etc., will only serve to turn some people off from doing anything at all! Of course the more we all do the better off we will be, and doing more than the average person will benefit everyone in the long run. But while climate change is real and could be very, very bad for the human race, sometimes those of us involved in the movement forget that not everyone is willing to forgo some comforts to try to save the planet…myself included. Do I want every person on the planet to get onboard and do as much as they can? Of course. Do I think they will? Nope. So encouraging even the smallest changes from people is way more tactful than proclaiming them “enemies of the environment”. Don’t you think?

I'm glad most of your posts have your own thoughts put into, instead of just pasting what you saw like some people.

I love this because I never think I do enough. My husband and I started 12 years ago by replacing half of our inefficient windows. Our electric bill was cut in half. Then we got a new AC that uses Puron. The bill was cut in half again. This last summer we replaced the rest of the windows, again the bill went way down Our neighbors have smaller house than ours and an electric bill that is over 600 bucks. Ours on a high month is 250 and we pay extra because we sponsor wind power. Now, I think wow I'm glad we started that back then. I use the recycled grocery bags, buy organic as much as possible. Never use pesticides. The hubby just got a hybrid yesterday :) I'm so proud of him! But, it has taken us 12 years to get this far. Entropy is just so easy. And sometimes it is soooo inconvenient to spend a saturday morning dropping items at the hazardous recycling place than it is to just throw that toxic stuff in the trash. But in the end its worth it. And we (personally) still have a long way to go. So many things I want to do, solar, collect rain water, compost, garden, insulate the garage and more but it takes time and starting small is still a start. I am glad you posted this.

I feel like all one person can do are little things. If everyone did their little things, it would add up. That is really the best way to make a big difference, but working together without even knowing it.

This reminds me of the people who say "I don't vote, because my vote doesn't carry any weight." Which is somewhat true, but the proliferation of the idea, and even its trendiness is cause for major affect on all of our lifestyles.
