The Lib Dem leader accused Mr Brown of "sitting on his hands" on the conflict, calling on him to condemn Israel's attacks as well as those by Hamas.
He called for an embargo on UK arms sales to Israel, a move backed by nearly 100 other MPs.
The government insists it is working flat out to negotiate a ceasefire.
'Self-defeating'
Speaking after talks on the crisis in New York on Tuesday, Foreign Secretary David Miliband called for an end to arms trafficking into Gaza and border crossings to be opened to allow in humanitarian aid.
Mr Brown described Tuesday's bombing of a UN-run school building in Gaza, which killed 30 people and injured 55, as the "darkest moment" so far of the conflict.

So far Brown has called for a ceasefire, warning that the Middle East faced its "darkest moment" following the bombing of a UN school, and has called for an agreement that guarantees the security to both the Palestine and Israeli people.
There have been civilian casualties in Iraq and Afghanistan as a result of British bombings. Would it be a case of the pot calling the kettle black if Brown went so far as to actually condemn the Hamas and Israel's actions?

After having my question ignored about how your stories could reach the front page with less than twenty views, and now datamined has been blocked for two weeks I can't believe anything that comes from your posts. This is Not a Personal attack against you.
I just believe that this site is biased and non-objectively choosing which submitters are best for their TV demographic. Therefore every story that is submitted is under question.
Any media that chooses to shape the news based on their monetary needs is a curse of the free press in a Capitalistic society. There needs to be a revolution against those who would sell what amounts to innocent lives to make the almighty advertising dollar. Flee from these prostitutes as from the plague. At least the plague would be a comparatively quick death compared to having your self-determinacy taken from you an opinion at a time in a "so called" free society.
It doesn't matter your politics or religion, if this site is dictating who can be heard and who can't then Free Speech is not allowed here. This is not America, move on..............

Who is stopping YOU from posting YOUR side of the story? Stop crying and get to work! Of course there are always two sides, but your crying about this is only going against you. Its pretty simple..the world is against what Israel is doing and it shows from the responses not only here but on thousands of other sites, including mainstream media. If you want to end war and promote peace and love, you may have a better attitude for both sides. I am not against Israels right to exist or defend herself...I have friends on both sides right as I type!The Palestinians have a right to exist and defend herself as well. And violence only begets violence...have you thought of the ramifications of Israels actions that some radicals may take against other innocent people..anywhere on earth? I am afraid of that. I am afraid Israel has opened a Pandora's Box on the world!
